Sunghyun Jason Tjen is a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner who has been serving North Vancouver since 2009.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia and completed a five-year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine
program in Vancouver. His scientific education and Traditional Chinese Medicine training contribute to a careful, individualized approach to patient
assessment and care.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been part of Sunghyun’s family for generations. His grandfather and other family members practiced TCM, passing down clinical knowledge and experience. Sunghyun continued developing his training through study with practitioners in Korea and through many years of clinical practice in Canada.
At Holy Family Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine, he offers acupuncture, electroacupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, auricular acupuncture, and other TCM services when appropriate.
Each treatment plan is developed following an individual assessment of the patient’s symptoms, health history, and goals. Sunghyun aims to provide thoughtful care in a calm, respectful, and welcoming clinical environment.
